Had a great stay here last night! Here's my thoughts. Pros: The room was clean, cool and very comfortable. The breakfast was full, fresh and good. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet in the halls, and I didn't hear any barking or yelling. They accommodated my request for a new room without any fuss, which is explained below. Simple amenities but it had all I needed. Cons: When I first got there, the room they gave me had a loud, whining AC unit that would have kept me up all night. I requested a new room, and it wasnt and issue at all for a switch. However the new room's window only had a see-through sheer, and you could see into the room from the parking lot pretty easily. The heavier curtains to either side of the window didnt actually move. Also worth noting: As I was checking out, there was a woman with her dog off leash in the lobby aggressively complaining about her room having dirty floor boards and "blood in the shower" which I doubt the cleaning crew left blood?? And im sorry but then why did you stay the night?? You dont get to stay at a $100+/night room and then demand a refund. The maid was apologizing and saying sometimes it's just her there. I really felt for the employees dealing with that kind of behavior from a grown adult. I told them I really enjoyed my stay, and that theyre doing great. Like lady, you're staying at a 2 star hotel, just relax and while youre at it, leash your dog in public spaces! I love dogs, but there are ppl who dont, and there are other dogs in the hotel. Anyway, over all great stay and would definitely return!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend while exploring the Virginia/West Virginia area, and this two-star hotel ended up being just what we needed! Don’t let the rating scare you—while it’s not fancy, it has all the basics covered for a comfortable short stay. The location was convenient—right next to a Starbucks (huge plus for me!) and within walking distance of a great Italian restaurant where we picked up a fabulous takeout pizza. The hotel wasn’t busy at all, and even though signs said no food or drink at the pool, we were able to enjoy some beer and snacks out there a few times without any issues. It was a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The hallways are a little dated, but the room itself was better than expected—clean, quiet, and spacious. The free breakfast was pretty basic (as expected for a two-star spot), so I’d recommend grabbing a Starbucks coffee first and then settling in. All in all, it was a great value for the price, and we’d happily stay here again for another low-key getaway.

Excellent check-in, rooms were comfy and very clean. Pet fee was most reasonable I've seen in many many Choice properties, made it easy to over tip for housekeeping. Breakfast was a bit thin but I got there late.

Clean room, very nice staff. Very accommodating as we were traveling with 3 dogs, and they made us feel welcome. Good breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, toast, cereal, etc. Room was large and partly tiled, great for dogs dishes. Excellent value. Already booked our stay for the trip back!

We were here for 2 days. Checking in was simple, there was an Indian guy who checked us in and was really nice. Our room was on the bottom floor. Our room was fine, a little dated but everything was functional. The beds were full size, and they were very...bouncy? Springy? We also had a 5th adult guest so we ordered the rollaway bed for our 2 night stay. They rolled it up to our room as we were walking to our room and left lol. I thought it was funny that the man didn't offer to help roll it inside but it's fine. I noticed a few metal support springs were broken. The mattress for it was torn and tattered in several places and we were prepared to complain about it if it caused any issues, but after setting it up with the mattress padding and sheets and extra blankets, it was good enough for an adult (200lbs). I always check for bed bugs in any place I stay and I'm happy to report no signs of bugs anywhere. Our comforters had seen better days as they were tearing at the edges exposing cotton, but it wasnt something we needed to swap out it was fine. The microwave fridge and TV all worked fine. The shower was hot and had good pressure. The bathroom was clean and stocked. They have shampoo and conditioner but it's not an actual brand so in a pinch it's fine but would recommend to bring your own. The pool was good but it was also small, so it might feel congested if there are several families trying to swim at once, but our party of 5 had the pool to ourselves so it was awesome. I will mention if you have young children you should know the minimum depth of the pool is *I'm estimated* 2.5-3ft at you step off the bottom step. It goes to 5ft at the deep end. It was a good temp too. It is an outdoor pool so you might want to count on skimming it before you get in. The breakfast was...meh. They advertise a continental or hot breakfast which I guess it's true but not really. They use microwaved bacon or sausage and microwaved scrambled eggs. I can't eat red meat so I asked what the sausage was made out of to the front desk, he didn't know so he asked the lady who does the breakfast, and she said "maybe pork or beef?" as if she can't check the label on the bag it came out of? I was like cool ok lol. It's fine if I can't eat it but you should at least be able to tell your guests what it is or if you don't know, either find out or say you don't know. Don't guess because if there's an allergy or a religious reason why people can't eat it it's important for us to know. They also had 2 types of waffle mix, regular and blueberry, but the box for the regular mix was broken so they only had blueberry mix provided. They have 2 types of yogurt, including one without gelatin in it. They had 3 types of cereal and 2% milk. A few bread items, which was wheat bread, English Muffins, and some little pastry thing. They have coffee and hot water for tea. They have fruit cups. They have apples I the main entrance. They have packets of oatmeal. the dining area is quite small but it wasn't busy at all both times we came to eat breakfast. We had to ask the lady to refill breakfast items several times, which is fine because since this isn't an actual breakfast area she was doing other things and wasn't standing in the dining hall 24/7. The hotel is very clean. A little dated, but clean. Overall a good stay. We appreciate the service from the india guy and our house keeper lady. I didn't catch names but those two stuck out to us as very nice and helpful. If we ever come back to this area I would not mind to stay here again. It's a decent hotel for the price and has enough emenities for a comfortable stay.

Breakfast was a joke , I could tie my fork in a knot, knife wouldn't butter the bread . Save money elsewhere !! Not when a person is trying to start off a days journey.

This is my halfway point between Pennsylvania and North Carolina. I've stayed here before it's always been pleasant.
